Emergency Dentistry for Kids in Corona, CA

At All Smiles Orthodontic & Children's Dentistry, we always keep openings in our schedule for our emergency patients. It is crucial to us that you have access to dental care when you need it, so, unlike many other dental offices, we don't charge for emergency exams or x-rays.

Our pediatric dentist can perform an exam and explain what's happening and what treatment we recommend. This way, you can find out what the problem is, and we will only charge you if we perform dental work. At All Smiles, we developed our policies with your needs in mind!

Types of Dental Emergencies We Treat

With Dr. Lan Nguyen as our pedodontist and Dr. Christopher Chau as our orthodontist, we can help you with any urgent dental problem your child is facing.

Kids encounter all sorts of dental emergencies, and the most common are toothaches and broken teeth from taking a fall or playing sports. Whatever urgent dental problem occurs with your child, our team of specialists can help you.

We commonly treat toothaches or mouth pain and also fix broken or chipped teeth. A knocked-out permanent tooth is a critical emergency, but we may be able to save it if we see your child right away. Don't touch the crown, keep the tooth root moist in saliva or milk, and call us right away for further instructions.

How to Handle Orthodontic Emergencies

Since we are orthodontists in addition to being pediatric dentists, parents commonly ask us for help with orthodontic emergencies. Please call us with anything that concerns you, and for your convenience, here is a list of simple solutions that you can try at home first.

  • Loose band or bracket: In some cases, we may need to see you right away; in others, we can wait until your next scheduled appointment. Call our office so we can let you know which is best for you. If you still have the bands or bracket, please bring them with you when you see us.
  • Loose archwire: Call office for an emergency appointment. Meanwhile, try to replace wire into the tube or bracket with tweezers.
  • Lost ligature wire or colored O-ring: Lost tie wires or elastic ties should be replaced as soon as it is convenient.
  • Anything poking: Try to bend back the offending part. A pencil eraser can help with this task, or you can cover the area with wax. Call for an emergency appointment.
